On Friday 27th of March 2009, the Primary School of Saint Antonios organised the “Festival of Vegetables” aimed to help students meet vegetables and their benefits to the human health.
After request by the school, students of the course “Food Preparation & Culinary Arts” Arts of KES COLLEGE participated in the festival by preparing, cooking and presenting vegetables in different ways.
Some of the dishes that have been prepared were roasted peppers in the oven with oregano and olive oil, spinach with tomato sauce, potatoes with olive oil and oregano, cauliflower with sauce of tomato, artichokes with lemon and many other.
At the end of the festival some children dressed with the uniform of a cook after they explained how each food was prepared and they served the dishes to the other children.
