KES COLLEGE gives special emphasis in the organisation and running of the library, as it is one of the basic and dynamic tools in supporting its whole educational effort and philosophy. Every year many new editions and periodicals, specially related to the courses run by the College, are added to the Library. The College library runs as reading room and lending library as well.

The Library is a fundamental part of teaching and learning environment of KES COLLEGE. The major objective of the Library is to sustain a sufficient collection of books and other educational material, which meets the educational needs of students and the professional needs of the teaching and administrative staff. Further, the College maintains services of high quality, which encourage the adequate and appropriate use of the Library both by students and by faculty. Qualified librarian is available to assist and provide advice on library procedures.

The Library provides its users easy access to books, periodicals, journals, video, tapes, audio tapes, CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs and other reference material. KES COLLEGE is constantly improving and updating its learning resources. Services include library loan, computers and Internet access.


 

 

Borrowing Policies and Procedures

All KES COLLEGE faculty, staff, students are eligible to borrow books from the Library. Students must show their student's registration card [student ID card] in order to borrow material from the library.

Book Reservations

If a student or staff needs a book which is currently loaned out to another student or staff, he/she can make a reservation to the librarian. When the book is returned to the library the librarian will inform the person who requested the book by telephone.

Loan Period

  • Students & Administrative Staff : 7 days
  • Teaching staff: 1 year

Renewals

Books are renewable up to 1 week. Faculty members can renew their books for an additional semester.

Maximum Number of Books 

  • Students & Administrative Staff :1 book 
  • Teaching staff: 4 books

Fines

Fines for overdue books are 50 cents per day per book.
